Bio:

Alex Acker was born on January 21st 1983 in Compton, California.
He attended Pepperdine University where he averaged 16 points 6.5 rebounds and 4 assist his junior year then was selected by the Detroit Pistons with the last pick in the second round (60th overall) of the 2005 NBA draft. He was assigned to the NBA development’s league’s Fayetteville Patriots on February 27, 2006 leading the team in points with 18 points and 4.8 rebounds a contest.

From 2006 to 2008, Acker played for the Greek team Olympiacos for whom he averaged 14.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists and for FC Barcelona, averaging 6.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 30 games.

On September 29, 2008 it was announced that Acker had signed a deal with his former team, the Detroit Pistons, and on February 16, 2009, Acker was traded by Detroit to the Los Angeles Clippers.

In August 2009 Acker signed a contract with Olimpia Milano in Italy and is currently signed with the French team Le Mans Sarthe Basket for whom he averaged 14.3 points 3.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 29 games.

He was the #1 three point shooter in the French League in the 2010/2011 season.
