Bio:

Started playing basketball at the age of eight. He played all selections in Krka Novo Mesto: 1997 he signed his first professional contract with B.C. Krka Novo Mesto. During the summer of 1998 he played in Junior Championship in Sicily where Slovenian National Team accomplished silver medal and was nominated on of the best players in the championship. Currently playing for B.C. Krka Novo Mesto where he averages 21 points and 9 rebounds per game in Slovenian League. His best international game this year was against F.C. Barcelona in Cup of Korac where he scored 24 points and 16 rebounds. The best team in Slovenia, Smelt Olimpia tried to recruit him as well as other very good teams in Europe. Matijas accomplished in the last two games of Slovenia National Team (Belgium and Bulgaria) 22 points and 10 rebounds.
