Bio:
In his Junior Season (2009-10) was team’s top returning scorer and rebounder.  Tabbed the Conference USA Rookie of the Week on Dec. 28. At Junior College (2008-09) Sanders was considered one of top JUCO players in Southeast Region.  Played for Northwest Florida State College (formerly Okaloosa-Walton) after playing his freshman season (2007-08) at Alabama State. At Alabama State (2007-08) won its league regular-season title and earned a spot in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT).  Earned first-team all-Florida and first-team All-Panhandle Conference honors in 2008-09.  Finished sophomore season with team leading numbers in points, assists, and field goal percentage. Also ranked 37th in the nation in scoring and ranked among the top 20 in the conference for free throw percentage, assists and steals. Earned player-of-the-week honors in consecutive weeks (Feb. 10, Feb. 17) averaging 28.7 points per game over his final five contests, including a career-high 40.  In High School led team to the 2006 6A Alabama state title while earning first-team Class 6A all-state honors.  Earned MVP honors of state tournament, led team in scoring, rebounding and assists during his junior and senior seasons. Was also an honorable-mention all-state player as a junior.
